Josh Walker is in his first season at Charleston Southern. Walker assists with the pitchers and catchers and handles team travel and equipment.

Walker moves into coaching after a playing career that included stops at Lassen Junior College, Southern Mississippi and a year of professional baseball. Walker attended Laseen from 1994-97, red-shirting one season and making the move from catcher to pitcher. He signed with Southern Miss as a pitcher in 1997, posting a 10-1 record in 1999 and leading his squad to the NCAA Regionals in 1999.

Following his collegiate career, Walker signed as a free agent with the Milwaukee Brewers but returned to complete his degree in Sports Administration in 2001.

Walker lives in Charleston with his wife Rachel, a professor at Charleston Southern.
